Robert Bruce & Son

Robert Bruce & Son, Paper Makers’ Agents and Commission merchants, 99, West Nile Street.—

In connection with the paper-making industry, it is a pleasure to make prominent mention of one of the most thoroughly representative firms of agents in Scotland, viz., Messrs. Robert Bruce & Son, paper makers' agents and commission merchants, who were established about six years ago in Hope Street under their present title. The premises occupied consist of offices and stores.

Mr. Robert Bruce, before starting this business, was for thirty years owner of the Woodside Paper Mills. The houses represented by Mr. Bruce and his son, Mr. James A. Bruce, are John Allen & Sons, Ivy Bridge ; East Lancashire Paper Mills Co., Ltd., near Radcliffe ; James R. Crompton & Bros., Elton Mills, near Bury, Lancashire ; C. T. Bain-bridge & Son, Tees Mill, Yarm ; J. L. Hastings, Milnthorpe ; and James Baldwin & Sons, Birmingham. The firms mentioned make different kinds of paper, so that Messrs. Bruce are agents for one firm only in each class. Messrs. Robert Bruce & Son, whose high principles have won the esteem of all their supporters, have a connection which extends throughout the West of Scotland and Edinburgh.
