Alexander Cochran & Co., Cabinet Makers, Upholsterers, and Decorators, 202, Hope Street.—

    This is a thoroughly representative firm in connection with this important industry. It was established in the city about forty-five years ago under the title of Cochran & Provan. It has been carried on at the present address for the past five years. The premises comprise a well-lighted showroom and workshop.

    The stock includes upholstery furnishings of every description, and a large assortment of materials for decoration purposes, consisting of lace curtains, crimson cloths, Turkey reds, bunting, flags and poles, bannerettes, large and small banners of various devices, dancing cloths, awnings, &c., &c., required for the fitting up of bazaars, decorating halls and ball rooms, which the firm fit up or lend out on hire. Employing only experienced hands, Mr. Cochran does a large trade in decorations, jobbing and repairs, his connection extending all over the city and suburbs, and the country ; and possessing a genial and courteous manner, as well as a high reputation for his upright principles, he enjoys the esteem and respect of a large circle of social friends.
