Adolf Rosenberg, Merchant, 31, North Frederick Street.—

    One of the best Glasgow houses in its line is that conducted by Messrs. Adolf Rosenberg, which was established at the present address in 1883. The firm occupy the whole of one flat, which is divided into warehouses, packing-room, counting-house, &c.

    The stock held is very heavy, comprising a large assortment of woollen, fancy, and plain yarns, cotton curtains, general woollen goods, Swiss embroidery, &c. The firm is also well known for special marks in Austrian, French, and Brussels gloves. None but goods of the best and finest quality are stocked, the reputation of the house being of the highest character. Travellers are employed to look after the interests of the continental trade. Their trade extends nearly all over the globe ; but their woollen business is confined to Scotland, exportations of cotton goods to South America and the European continent, while the trade in Swiss goods is conducted chiefly in Scotland and Ireland.

    The members are Mr. Adolf Rosenberg and Mr. Julius J. Olfen, both gentlemen of the highest standing in the commercial world.
